OK so I got a new iPod yesterday and I transfered all my music onto it and it was fine.

Today I tried to find an album and it wasn't threre. But, when I connect my iPod to my laptop and look in itunes, the album shows up on the iPod's music list.

Anybody have any idea what's going on?

Have that problem with my iPod too.

My bet is that the album name of artist A is the same as another artist, artist B. Try renaming the album.

What iPOD? What version of iTunes?
Try Songs> listing on the iPOD and scroll through the list for the names of some of the songs.
Chances are they're not tagged properly. Check in iTunes whether the album/song,etc information is inserted properly.

(Assuming your using a New iPod Classic)On your ipod, from the main menu go

    Settings>Main Menu
And under the music submenu make sure compilations is unticked.

Or in iTunes make sure that the album is not "Part of a Compilation".

Yeah Username! that's what it was - half of the album said "featuring ____" in the artist thing so it wouldn't show up as an album.

But now, I've changed the artist name so it's all the same and it's still not working, any ideas?

Remove the album from the iPod, change the Details in iTunes and then resync it.

I've done that and it didn't work

Change the details completely, alter the artist and album and genre as much as you can and then re sync it. Even call the artist, album and genre AAAAA just to test it.

It was listed as a compilation even though it wasn't so that's why - it's sorted now!

That happened to me as well, took me ages to find out how to fix it.
