    Hi

We are interested in buying the Sony Kdl 40d3500 and have been looking at internet prices from UK sites (always seem to be cheaper). Was wondering if we would be caught for duty if we purchased from UK dealer??

    Many thanks

No , Duty will be paid , as in buying from most EU countries that will already be a part of the price , its only from outside the EU that you will likely get hit for Duty.

Internet prices are generally cheaper , some sites up to 4-500 euro cheaper , I got mine online from a german website and saved nearly 350 euro. The only thing you have to watch out for when buying TV's online is the tuners , in my case everything was coming in through external boxes , ( Sky etc. ) so that was not an issue for me , but if you are relying on the tuners make sure you get one that will work in this country.
