    This post is about a universal remote control I'm after.
    There was points about
    komplett.ie
    pixmania.ie
    payless.ie
    amazon

    Surely I got it right posting it in the consumer area? I know the remote can control PC's but its not a computer..................
    I'm new to boards.ie but not to forums

    It's not a consumer issue and it's not a building question. Better place is media centre forum...

    Fair enough;

    Anyone here any ideas on where to purchase a Philips SRM7500

    This is not laziness btw
    I've spend ages googling but can only find the remote on its own (no receiver) or cannot get answers out of websites on the products they are selling, its not on ebay either.

    Heres what our friend Risteard from Komplett.ie said:

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

    A receiver is not include; only the remote and a quick-start guide are included.
    This is all that is necessary to control the TV.

    Best regards
    Risteárd@Komplett
    Wishing you a happy and safe 2008!

    I suppose its not beyond the relms of possibility he didn't thoroughly check it out, or maybe theres a mistake on the part number......
    I don't want to have to order it, find out theres no receiver then have to order the microsoft receiver with remote which I won't use, the couriers will be rich aswel having everything arriving sepretly with delivery charges!

    I'll get onto Komplett.ie again and put your evidence to them subway.
    Thanks for your input by the way subway!

    I emailed Komplett.ie already, they've just replied;

    Dear Sir,

    Thank you for the details.

    We do not advertise that a USB is included because it is not included in the box.
    The manufacturer part number is provided to us by Philips, so is out of our control.

    Best regards
    Risteárd@Komplett

    So there you have it! they sell the remote but not the usb receiver and they don't claim to do so, so can't really blame komplett.ie
    Why do philips even ship the remote control without the reciever???

    Back to square one now. Anyone know where I can get a philips remote SRM7500 with reciever??
