    Hi all

I use my pc and mouse a lot at work and have noticed that recently my mouse hand is getting quite strained. Its just a standard mouse. Are there any more comfortable (if that makes sense!) makes of mouse out there (non wireless)?

    Cheers

You could get one of these for less than €15 euro.

Makes a huge difference for me. Have one for the
    Keyboard too.

Cheers - i might look into it, although since I switched from a roller to an infa red sensor I have tended not to use a mouse mat

I have a laser mouse too but i have found that using it on a mouse mat
is much more precise than using it on a table, wood or any other hard shiny surface.

depends on the size of your mouse aswel.

small mice cause you to have to bend your fingers a lot more.
bigger mice are a LOT more comfortable when using it a lot.

Cheers - makes sense I suppose - might look out for both a larger mouse and a decent supported mouse mat

Been meaning to get one of these:
http://www.computingplus.co.uk/mice.htm (I've seen them a lot cheaper BTW!!!)

Heard they are great as you are not stopping blood flow through your palm.
My clicking finger gets hella painfull these days though :(

Agree that wrist pads are great.

There are many right-hand specific mice (mouses?) that you may find more comfortable - such as the Logitech MX Revolution and the G5.

Have your works provide you with a ergonomics test. They are legally oblijed to do this for you if you ask free of cost to you. But it will cost them a bomb.
