    Bear with me please, I have 3 guns,a shotgun a .22 and a .223.
I recieved the certs for these within a month of applying for each.
I applied for another .22 about 3 months ago and still no sign , the
local garda says he does'nt know whats up so i was wondering whats
the story with ringing headquarters good or bad idea?
Anyone tried it any experiences? Would they ring the local would'nt
want him to think i was going over his head.
    Any advise would be great.
    Cheers.

If he doesn't know whats happening why would he care.

It depends where it is - it could be in your Supers in-tray - the park are quite fast at turning stuff around so it's doubtful it's stuck there.

    I wouldnt be to worried!
It all depend if you got lucky or not as to how the gaurds are feeling about paper work!!
I have four guns, 2 shotguns and 2 rifles and all but the second shotgun took 3+ months for the licences to return!
IMO its a matter of luck!

Apparently they wait until there is a pile of licences ready before they are sent to Garda HQ. You could be lucky and hit the right spot in the cycle and get it back fast or they could make you wait. As said it's all a matter of luck.
