I has lasik over a month ago with optilase.
and everything seemed fine - had my check ups after 3 weeks before xmas.
Now however my eyes are quite sore sometimes and still dry.
I'm wondering is this normal or should i go back to them.
i sit at a computer all day and i guess that doesn't help but
i'm surprised that my eyes are still sore/dry after about 6 weeks.

Im afraid that no medical advice can be given on boards.ie and even if there was a doctor online, there would be very little he could do or say without seeing your eyes.

Give yourself piece of mind and go back to the hospital to get checked out. Hopefully all will be fine. Best of luck

Perhaps some of the many people who've had the procedure may be able to share their experience, i.e if the guy has nothing to worry about? Similarly anyone working in this area might be able to share their thoughts,

From personal experience, I had dry eye for 3-5 weeks after surgery, and now 6 months later, in the evenings if I'm very tired, they can get dry again. Working at a computer certainly aggravated mine. Call the clinic. My clinic reccommened a gel that's available from chemists which was far better than the drops - maybe something like that would help.
