Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that manifests primarily as a difficulty with written language, particularly with reading and spelling.

It common enough and there are societies to help http://www.dyslexia.ie/ http://www.clubi.ie/dyslexia/index.html

As a side note, there is also dyscalculia - difficulty in learning or comprehending mathematics.

    Hi alan1988,

I hate closing threads, but we can't help individuals with their diagnoses.

You should see your GP. Also, if you're at school/college you could speak to your careers guidance people or a teacher/lecturer if you're struggling.

Just get assessed if you think you might have it. Don't rely on people on an internet board for a diagnosis.

You would be more than welcome to start a general thread on dyslexia though. If you get diagnosed with it, you can start a thread about your experience, or asking for others' experiences.

BUt we just can't help with diagnoses here. It's not safe, for you or us.

    Good luck with it though.
