I work in IT but I'm thinking of going traveling for a year and I'd like to do some bar work as I have a bit of exp from when i was a young lad.

Does anyone know any good bar courses in around Dublin?

Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with IT Tallaght any more. It's just a course that stands out in my mind for some reason. (just look at the fora I mod :D )

Why not ask in your local can you do a night a week to get the feel for it, or if the local bar manager will show you how to pull a pint and change kegs etc....

Most would be glad of the extra help im sure......

You know what, there was a much shorter course. It was done in conjunction with CERT, as far as I can remember. I used to teach a computer module on it. I think it was around the six month mark.

Cert.ie doesn't look too healthy, so I am not sure what the story is.

I remember the course, it was done near bus aras i think, I think that was many moons ago with FAS IIRC that would be ideal now!

No, it was in IT Tallaght. :D

It might be worth digging around their website to see if it is still running, since the Cert website looks a bit worse for the wear.
