    Hi all,

Im just been updating my CV at the min and im in trouble with my references, I think

I have one reference from a job I worked for 3 years part time but nothing for the last 3 years

I working in a company 4 years ago and dont have the number of my managers there

while at college I had a part time job in the evening for 2 days a weeks but there wasnt much people by the way of management around, we just got on with our job and left for the night, so nobody I could really call for a reference there either

My last job I was there for 1 year and left 2 years ago to go travel. I went to call the job to ask him if he'd be a reference but he must have left the company so im stumped for a reference there aswell

Has anybody any ideas what I could do

Would my 1 reference be ok?

Well, if you were travelling for the last two years, any potential employer will understand not having a reference. So the last two years are okay, i would think. Just think of some interesting travel experiences and stories, and use them to your advantage in an interview. From my experience, they always go down well, if appropriately used.

As regards the job before that, are you certain the boss has left the company? You need to be certain about that before giving up! If he has, then surely there is someone else in a position of authority there who would vouch for you?
