XPS710 Lights

    Anyone know how to turn these off,without having to disconnecting them inside the case?

    They are really beginning to annoy to me,cant watch a film or anything now because of them....

    With the laptop, you can change then in the bios or using the software provided.

    Really whats the name of the software,might work on the desktop?

    I will look again in the bios now,didnt see anything about it last time

    Hit F2 on startup to enter the bios screen. I think the options for the leds are under 'integrated devices'.

    You can also change them in windows using nvidia's 'ntune' utility.

    Ive had to put up with those damn things for the last 3 months and they were in the bios all along :D

    Also anyone know what the power consumption on the xps710 is?

    Im getting 677watts from this calculator....

    Don't know, but it's certainly not that high. Afaik the power supply is only rated to 500W, only the dual 8800gtx ones have the 750W.

    I have the same machine squall (gotta love the dell outlet!).I bit the bullet a couple of weeks ago - split the raid array and 'upgraded' to vista. 1 minute boot time becomes 20 seconds:D
