Problem with Archos & Battery

Hey, so back in October my mp3 player (an Archos 404) took a fall (well i did, from a bike) and the screen was damaged. I sent it back to Archos and eventually got it back near the end of December, fully repaired (cost me €90.90)

However, I didn't use it much until last week (what with Christmas and all) so i've only noticed now that the battery is screwed.. When i charge it (either in my computer or in the dvr docking station) i leave it to charge until the green light flashes (this tells me it's finished)

However, when i plug it out and use it, the battery (nearly) immediately drops to 50% and i am only getting ~1.5hours battery life altogether... If i plug it in (to a computer or whatever) it charges for another half hour at least...

There is obviously a fault with the player, right? Will I still be covered by guarantee, even though it had to be repaired already? Surely it is, seen as they were supposed to fix any damage done to the player...

    Opinions?

Ring or email their support would be the best route I'd imagine.
