I applied for a passport through passport express, on sat the 5th.. Due to some confusion with my birthcert, they returned the application on friday, stating they need my LONG form birthcert, and that the ten day rule no longer applies.

Obviously it wouln't, if they have to send it back to me and all the rest, but does this mean that it will take slightly longer, or will I have to wait for the next year for them to send it? (thats what it feels like!)

I would imagine that the normal time span applies - 4-5 weeks. Passport express says (I think) that it's only available when the application is submitted correctly.

Could also be that they're saying it no longer applies because you have to send things back etc etc. Might have it within 10 days of re-submitting. Not 100% on that though.

It turns out it just means that it will be ten days plus however long it takes to reproccess, I had it very soon after resending it.
