I know it's a bit late to be worrying about this, but I need accommodation suggestions for the Clonmel/Cahir area from Feb. 3 - Feb. 6 and would prefer to be close to Clonmel. It's a busy time during those few days and we've not had much luck finding anything.

Something to suit poker tournament organisers (2 rooms required) with crazy hours. We'd be out from about 1pm until 4 or 5 am. Sleep until noon each day, rinse, repeat for duration of stay.

Clean, but doesn't have to be fancy. All suggestions considered. Cheers! :)

Hearns Hotel in Clonmel town centre or the Park Hotel on the outskirts of the town.

Tried them both as well as Minella and all fully booked. Looks like we'll have to find a small B&B known only to the locals or we'll be out of luck.

Befanis tapas restaurant in the centre of town have a very small guesthouse, think it's only 2 rooms, most people don't even know about it so might be worth it. Don't know website so you'll have to google it. Pictures on the website look gorgeous.

I'd say you'll find it hard to find accommodation in Clonmel on those dates. Archtech has posted a long list so you might get lucky with one of them. I don't know if people do it much any more, but a lot of people used to set up B&Bs in their homes for the coursing, they wouldn't be on that list but you might get details from somewhere like the town hall.

I may be able to help you out. My father has just renovated a 3 bedroom house in clonmel town centre, its near the bus station. There's no tenants living there yet. If your still looking for somewhere let me know and il find out.
