The Griffin iTrip I find is brilliant (if you've an iPod of course).

I bought a little headphone jack one that plugs into a cigarette lighter off eBay... very handy and clear... even when loud. Like so...

Even has an attachment for USB (for simple memory device MP3 players) and iPod.

your problem here isn't which transmitter is best, but the area you live in. it's very hard to get a frequency in dublin that isn't near another stations.

even if you find one i found that the sound was terrible (belkin tunecast II) it's like plugging your ipod into a set of portable speakers placing them on top of a stage in a hall and then standing back 100m or so.

Yeah but even that's better than listening to Spin.

Eek! Hate to burst the bubble but the quality of the iTrip is awful. It was the first FM transmitter I owned and at the time I thought it was great. I have tried a load of them and without doubt the best audio quality so far has been Cygnett's Groove Rider.

OP, unfortunately, as others have said, its your location and not your gadget that will let you down here :(

I use 105.7 and there's never any interference on it from other stations. This is what I use, and it's about as good as I'd expect for an FM transmitter. There's a bit of static between tracks, but overall not bad sound from it.
