I have a FTA satellite dish installed but the wind seems to move it out of alignment every few months. The result is no signal, and of course no channels. The trouble is it's mounted very high so I'd need a high ladder to re-align the dish (I have a sat finder.) Is there any solution other than buying a good ladder and adjusting the dish each time? Thanks for your help with this.

Depends on the dish size, type etc.
If you fix it tightly, it may get distorted instead. Can't you mount it lower or in a more sheltered position?

I had exactly the same problem. I bought one of those Lidl systems that were on offer over a year ago and although it worked fine initially, the first strong gust of wind resulted in all channels being lost. After going up and down ladders every time the wind so much as coughed I decided to buy a proper wall bracket and on a calm bright day carefully aligned the dish and made sure that all nuts, bolts etc were tightened as much as possible.
Since then I have had no problem (of course the motivation to sort this problem out quickly had nothing to do with the wife threatening to roast my chestnuts over an open fire if she couldn't get to see X-factor....no, not at all....!)
