    Can the ps3 play songs on your hard drive ingame? Like can i play an album while playing CoD? Simular to the xbox??

    No, unless that game has specific support for it. There is no in game XMB, 360 like blade interface, to send universal messages or access music.
    The only game is know with custom soundtrack support is SSHD.

    That said an in-game XMB is mooted for release this year and some maybe non-faked pics have surfaced.
