If you want to know what it will be like ceasing your contract with Sky then just remove the Sky Card and you will then see what is Free-to-Air

In the Irish Repuplic I do not think there is a great diference between FTA and FTV.

Edit: God! I am still getting my FTV and FTA mixed up.
    (no FTV without a card)

    Go Sky news.
    Press interactive.
    Wait till it loads
    remove card
    Backup

Then press guide. You will see the EPG for the missing BBC & ITV, that work.
you can go 101 (now BBC, not RTE) and keep Ch+ to see which work without card (i.e. no sub).
All the BBC radio in the 0xxx range (about 20?) will have added too.
All of these can only be added then viewed via the awkward "Other channels" system if your card is in (subscribed or not).
