    Hi all,

A few days ago I bought a domain name and hosting so put up my own website.
Since I have no knowledge of html I had to use a build in website builder :(

Please let me know what you think of it.
    www.sasar.net

    Thanks!

personal opinion ... lose the splash page

Contact Page should include your name ... assuming you are the photographer? Alex ... having your phone number and no name there is a bit strange when you have your name on the front page

Personally I'd drop the stats count on the front page 0023 doesn't do a lot for me (looks bad in my opinion)

apart from that the photos are quite nice .. but do I have to download them all ? can I not just have a thumbnail that I click and it gives me the full version ? (so I can see all your photos at the same time)

Apart from that. . nice job :)

(just realised your Gallery main page does the thumbnail stuff but it takes a LONG time to load)

(just my few cents on it)

    Looks good to me.
I normally hate flash sites, but your setup isn't to distracting. In fact it's nice and clean.

Fantastic pics - but a bit annoying the way the image moves about when you look at from the thumbnail gallery!

Oh, and if you can get rid of the splash animation before you enter the site - do it. ;)

    Thanks for your quick reply!

Name has been added to the contacts page :)
Regarding the stats, the page has gone live only today, that's why the figure is so low. Not really interested in manually increasing it :D
The main gallery page could be quite slow, depending on your broadband provider. Seems to be ok for me, but if more people complain, will have to sort it out :)

    Thanks again!

Have to agree about the splash page. It doesn't add to the site, or give any further insight.

The gallery main page is slow to load (and I'm on a fast connection). Your will load fast since the images are cached on your PC.

It seems a bit confusing to have all your images in the gallery, as well as having them broken down by topic. But, that's just my view.

Nice simple layout, and some very nice images.

I'd agree - lose the splash page. I find them time wasting.

Although you have beautiful photographs, some of them are damaged by being taller than my browser window. I can see you've a standard width but for the portrait shots it's not so good.

And yes, the gallery page is slow for me also.

    IMO....

Yep...lose the splash - looks nice enough but adds nothing to the site.

Personally on the home page I would remove the extra links to 'gallery' and 'feedback' as they are already on your navigation panel to the left (which is very clear to see). Just leave the 'welcome to my site' bit.
Other than that due to the number of photos within each area I agree with forbairt - would be great to have smaller thumbnails that if clicked on show the larger pic.

Love some of the pics....patricularly the young lad in your genre section....really funny expression on his face, also the pic immediately afterwards with the swing as well....a little 'Deliverance' if you know what I mean! (hope I'm not offending anyone you know!)

    Great job overall!

Ok, got rid of the splash intro :)

I just tried out the gallery page from another pc and it took around 4 seconds to load the main gallery screen.

I have to admit, I had totally diferent view on how I want to see my website, but as I said I have no knowledge of html, so this is as good as I can get it :p

Calina, you might be right about pictures not fitting in your screen as I have done all works on 19'' monitor. Will have to sort this one out too. Thanks!

    Snellers - done!

And thanks for all the nice words on my photos!
