New to shooting

    Hi Everyone,

    I would like to try my hand at target shooting and am wondering how to go about beginning. I have no previous shooting experience and have no equipment. Being from Cork city the options seem limited to the Fermoy rifle club which I've heard is quite good. What I was wondering was, is it possible to rent a rifle and range time there for a couple of months to see if I take to it and/or am any good at it ?

    If anyone has any experience of the Fermoy club I'd love to hear about it. i.e. Do you have to be a member before you can rent a rifle ? Do they even have an option to rent ? How much is membership etc. ? I'm interested in .22 silhouette shooting. I've emailed the club but haven't heard back yet.

    If I don't hear back soon I'll give them a ring but i'd like to have some basic information beforehand if possible.
