Do you remember Coolwings advising someone about trainer/glider planes last summer ......

One of the suggestions was a Multiplex Easy Star ..... I've never flown RC before but the 'Easy' just caught my attention and I decided to give it a go .... 40 odd flying hours later and I have to say a big thanks to CW ..... I've had a few shocks as a new flyer but a lot of fun with it too .....

To be fair it's best flown in light winds to really enjoy it and last friday was probably the best day we have had for months !!!!!! ....
I took a helmet camera with me a made a short video .....

I have a couple more video's I could post if anyone is interested ....

    http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ijOYfxqNggU

ps. Easy Stars don't come with wheels ..... just one of my experiments

I don't know where last friday came from but it was the most amazing day ..... crystal clear ..... bone dry (although the ground was saturated) ..... and it wasn't even cold ......

The one guy who didn't respond to the Video was Coolwings ......

and after all ..... it was his idea to consider an Easy Star as a candidate for a trainer ...... :p

Anyway ..... here's another video .... this time I sent the camera up with the Easy Star ....... a scary day to be out on your own .... windy .... cold .... sun in your eyes ......

There's a whole bunch of secure compounds up on the hills and I don't feel too good about showing them in public so hence a good bit of editing .....

    see what you think .....

Oh I saw it allright Hobie :) Just lurking and reading though, so didn't feel a need to chip in.
It's good to see you're "up and flying" and having fun.
    Those wheels do work well.

That model also can be converted to ailerons very easily should you feel the urge to hot it up a bit.

    Cheers
    Coolwings
