I'm looking at going away for Paddy's weekend this year for a change. As its only a weekend, and with the present fuel surcharges, it rules out going to the US. So anyone got any ideas for where to go within Europe that goes mad for Paddy's day/weekend?

Last year we went to Hamburg which was great craic, the year before we went to Barcelona which was also great craic (but watch out for the pickpockets)

    :)

Cheers been to both fairly recently so I'd be slightly slow in heading back again so soon. Both class places though.

I'd have to recommend Munich. ;)
Theres the biggest paddies parade on the continent followed by an open air musical festival right in the middle of town. The Parade is on Sunday the 16th this year by the way! So you get Paddies day parade and then paddies day proper the day after!

Last year there was 35000 spectators according to the cops, so that would make it better attended than the one in Cork!!!
