    Well

I was in a computer store there today and was going to buy windows xp with the intention of installing it on my mac. It was the upgrade version with service pack two. Is this compatible with bootcamp or is only meant for windows users upgrading to xp ?

    Thanks

A full installation disk for Windows is needed for Bootcamp. Upgrade disks will not work as they are intended to upgrade lesser versions to the version bought.

The XP Upgrade disc is intended to upgrade to XP from a previous version of Windows only. You'd need a previous version of Windows installed (Or, according to google, at least in another CD drive.)

are you going to use bootcamp or a virtual window to run windows.

Bootcamp i do not need to explain, i guess.
Virtual window you do not have to turn off your computer every time you want to change from OSX to windows. But Bootcamp is more real for the windows experience. I use a virtual window cause i use windows as little as possible. I use Parallels.

Anyway check these guys out. I have bought from these guys before they are good and this looks good ---

Try Amazon or eBay, both have OEM copies available.

I saw one recently for €110. This was the full installation disk with service pack 2 license and all.
