    looking for advice on travelling to thailand,
    how do you go about doing this etc. thinking of going for a 3/4/5wk period in july.

    In that case I just did a search for threads from the travel forum with thailand in the title and got 148 results. Loads of of info there op unless your looking for specific info?

    Gotta agree with Offalycool that book is excellent.

    If your coming this far try to take in Vietnam or Cambodia or both.

    In Thailand depends on what you want. Good nightlife and plenty of drinking try Phi Phi Don. For Relaxation head to Ko Lanta island can happily recommend some accom. Was there only 2 months ago
