Just an idea that came to me when I saw 'Dan, In Real Life' and was amazed with Steve Carrells performance.
I realise that the forum is getting cluttered up with all the stickies and what not but with the success of FoTW, I figured this could be a good idea and worth giving a shot atleast.

    What do you all think?

P.S. If it is approved, I would like to, for it's innaguaral thread, nominate the above actor.

    Nobody else interested?

If so we could just talk about Steve Carrell instead...
I have to admit that when I first saw him in Anchorman and The 40 Year Old Virgin, I didn't think anything of him. And I never did untill I saw him in 'Dan, In Real Life' over the weekend and was blown away by his performance. Then it got me thinking about his roles...his seemingly short career is spanned over such varied roles that it really shows his abilities.
I was never a fan of Ricky Gervais or the Office, but I love the American version, because of him obviously. Evan Almighty wasn't particularly good but I think his performance was good, likewise for his small role in Bruce Almighty.
His role in Little Miss Sunshine was very good too and ofcourse, lets not forget the silly comedies which introduced us to him.

I'll have to give this a resounding no. The clutter of stickies would be unbelievable. We'd probably need a seperate board for "____ of the week"s then.

Boooooo. It doesn't have to be a sticky.

Anyway, can I atleast ask you to change the title of the topic to Steve Carrell then?

No. Mainly because I have very little appreciation for particular actors (relative to particular directors or movies for example).

An acting performance of the week would be much better IMO.
