Personally I don't think he has every fully put together on form performances for Ireland and would be disgusted if he's named in the squad on Monday.

That's the nub of what I was told last night. Obviously I sincerely hope it is all rubbish. Irish rugby needs a warrior like O'Connell.

to be fair - if the BBC are reporting it, and its common rugby knowledge today that POC has had a relapse and is indeed out for a while its not the same thing as the rubbish people were talking about during the world cup..
