Betfair STT glitch

    Just browsing through some blogs and seen this:
    'Oh dear its all going off at Betfair (allegedly)

    A glitch in the software had been identified.

    Anyway my understanding is that from 3-6am on Thursday night 100s of 6 paks were played where everyone went all in 1st hand. Each time winner was paid and all 5 others were paid as 2nd due to the glitch that had been identified. These were all 1000$ games.

    It seems Betfair paid out 1.7$ million during this period. Im sure this story will run and run and will be interesting to follow what happens to the funds.'
    Anyone hear any more?

    It was all over the betfair boards. There was a 3 way all-in coup in a SNG, and the same guys were playing the next game, the third was happy about the $$$ he got, and it turned out he got the same as 2nd! (IE betfair paid out too much)
    They tried it again, then with another player, then started ringing their mates! lol

    yea it's true. i was on playing cash at the time and someone in the chat box said you REALLY should try the 6 max SNGs right now. Didn't pay any heed to him. Wish I did though.

    No idea, I stopped playing poker and reading here for a while. After a massive downswing on 5/10 then 2/4. Just back playing last couple of months.

    I assume, if its programmed correctly, it should split the 2nd prize money between them ?

    yeah. well we ended up split between two tables, so we all got third, winners on each table took first + second.

    I would be really surprised if betfair didn't freeze all of the accounts and get their money back.

    Yea, considering withdraws through paypal and neteller(thansk to movingsavingexprts.com, experts = rofls) are checked before being given the go ahead alot of them wouldnt of got it out. But apperantly they did through there bank, but it will be gotten back.
