This one snapped yesterday at 4:30pm on the dot. It looked hell of alot better spooky type in the flesh, a whole cloud turned red for about 10 minutes.

EDIT: why is photobucket putting circular lines in pics when they are not like that on pc, anyone know?..do you see circular lines also?
Hmm, after much testing, the pics have lines in them also on flickr and attached here, maybe its a browser issue.
Strangely any other pics i upload since then are grand despite re-uploading the above which refuse to display properly, must be a camera setting, i give up!

LOL Longfield, turns out my web browser & web preview in windows puts weird circles on pics but they look fine when enlarged, thats a sober view :D

Anyway, had a bit of luck spotting a red sky late this afternoon and had my camera handy through all of it that lasted from 4:20pm to 4:42pm!

Here they are as a sequence of part of the sky turning red and then disappearing.(the deep reddish part happened very fast at 4:36pm and disappeared just as fast after a couple on minutes)

Nice 2nd pic Kindredspirit, when was that dusk sky out?

At least you don't have houses blocking your long distance view like in mine. Sometimes, i'd wish to live down the country just to watch nature in its full view! :)

If my memory serves me correctly, about 4.30 pm ish on 27th Dec. on Lough Derg. Returning from Garrykennedy to Killaloe.

The first pic is in Rerrin, Bere Island and it was so dark, I didn't think the pic would come out.
