What movie's SFX wizardry worked for you this year? Which one used technology and ingenuity to a fine art to help create a world they couldn't have explored otherwise? Nominate them here.

To be eligible, the film must have been released on Irish cinema screens between 1/1/2007-18/1/2008 (inclusive). Each voter can only nominate a maximum of two titles for this category. Any further nominations shall be ignored.

    Damn this is hard one.

The Bourne Ultimatum for some brilliantly choreographed scenes using real world stunts rather than taking the easy route with CGI.

And on the flipside, Sunshine for using some wonderfully memorable exterior shots of the ship, Mercury, the Sun, etc... using excellent CGI.

    Special mention to Transformers.

Transformers - really shocked me this one as I was sure the Transformers were going to look horrific but fair fecks to all involved in the SFX department.
Sunshine - looked gorgeous. The score and special effects were the best thing about the film.. and it did look magnificent.

It is a hard one, but will go for Sunshine ahead of Transformers.

And even though I disliked 300, it does deserve to be nominated for its SFX.

    I Am Legend (joke!)

    Seriously:
Enchanted, the blending of live action and animation was expertly done
    Tranformers, for similar reasons

Ummm...doesn't that mean there were no SFX? I don't think choreography counts there:confused:
