hi i have a 250gb ide hd in a case and want to format it to fat32 for use with ps3, anyone know how to do this in xp

Right click My Computer->Manage and then select the disk drive under Disk Management. Right click on the drive and select Format, use the dropdown to select FAT32.

that only gives me ntfs

Windows will only let you format a small portion of it as FAT32 (less than 100GB I think)
If you want the full thing to be formatted as one FAT32 drive, you'd need to use something like partition magic

i'm not sure the one i downloaded from the link above wouldnt let me confirm any changes it would just let me see what it could do but wouldnt perform any action and yeah as tman says i got it fixed and i'm a he btw
