    Slightly off-topic but reading this morning that one of our own....last years 91 kg senoir champ Ian Timms has turned pro and is to be coached by phil sutcliffe snr......Best of luck to both of them.

    Great news, was talking to both of them on Wednesday.

    Best of luck, Timms would be a class heavy weight boxer, better than what Ireland has produced in the past.

    I shocked , truly shocked . It's not even our main promoter(Brian Peters) who has signed him .

    We should take the German route and 'naturalise' hims as quick as possible . Irish citizenship and a new name (Míchael Smith/Murphy/O'Brien etc) :p

    he was in the stadium on friday at the finals he looks very well built very compact i would say he packs some power

    He won by tko in the first and Belshaw was successful in his first fight back winning by tko in round 3 .

    Did anyone go to this ? , if so how did the Cuban look ?
