Ethical Hacking Courses/Qualifications - EC Council Vs. 7 Safe

I'm looking to move into IT Security having spent a little over two years working in Sys Admin/Engineer / Field Engineer type roles. I've an MCSE and a CCNA. I have a fairly good basic general knowledge on servers & networking and the common things that go with that in most environments.

I'm looking into doing one of these courses and would like any advice people can offer?

The EC Council one is one single course, is expensive, and the better places to do it seem to be in the UK - with one all inclusive(accomodation, food etc) 5day being approx €5000 when you include flights.

The 7 Safe ones are broken down into two, and a bit cheaper as well as being run in Dublin, and qualifying for tax relief.

    Has anyone done either? Thoughts?

Or if anyone could point me towards another larger IT Security forum that would be helpful too.

Forget about this course, this is the crappiest training company ever.
You should consider www.mile2.com, far better material and course content.
US Gov has switched from EH to Mile2 (Army, Federal etc...).

New Horizons in Dublin provide this course, for less than 1500 euro/5 days with the FAS participation.

    For 7 Safe I can't comment, don't know them.

    Thanks.

Has anyone any comments on the 7Safe course?

Problem I have with a 5day course is that I'm doing this off my own back - company don't and can't know. I'd be using holidays to do the course and they are limited unfortunately... If my company knew I was doing it they would know I was planning to leave as I cannot use such specialised knowledge where I currently am.

But I'll check that out anyway, thanks.
