I keep getting the message when I try copying a movie (its the one that was made in school btw, nothing illegal) on my computer "Cannot copy VTS_02_1:Invaild MS-DOS function."

Now can anyone tell me what this is all about?

    EDIT:

Actually, scratch [sic] my first suggestion. Now that I re-read your post I'm guessing that you are trying to copy it from a damaged or dirty DVD disc.

Is there any other way this would happen?

More information. What are you copying it from and what is it being copied to? (Hard Disk, DVD, Pen Drive,...)

A disc to an external hard-drive.
