ASUS Eee mobility laptop

Hi all, Im thinking about getting an ASUS Eee laptop (the really small, mobile one). My question is this; Does any one know whether I can get an external HDD and boot from that? Basically, the laptop only comes with 4 gig flash memory, so I was wondering if I would be able to get a big ol' external drive, slap Windows XP…
