theres no substitute for experience as they say. best to play a few games and you'll get a feel for it, "Take your hits and learn from them" as they say., Hmm, whos quote is that actually?

Put their heads down with superior fire
Flank them using fire and maneuver
    Maximum speed and aggression

    Simple as that

Biggest mistake I've seen at HRTA is people failing to move forward when they have the opportunity

I'll second that. Use either heavy fire or accurate bursts to pin them (assuming you have an AEG accurate enough to do so) and if you can't get into a position to flank them then charge the centre line firing from the hip, you'd be amazed how often it works ;)

indeed, most people tend to forget that to hit a moving target you need to aim where they WILL be when the bb gets there so if you move quick enough your harder to hit than sitting still.

of course, even if you do aim properly, hitting a moving target is a damn sight more difficult

also, try to remember that when your running, it's harder to hear/feel a hit from range, so be careful you pay attention to feel/hear hits

And equipment, don't be the di*khead wearing a bright red jumper with a mag falling out of it, bbs spilling out of your pocket, using iron sights which haven't been zeroed, trying to hit a sniper that's way out of range... No one will come near you, you'll be on your own, screwed

thats fairly luther proof but 1 problem i found with doin this is you have to get withen 15-20 meters maximum to hit anything (in my experiance) but by the time the flanking group have hit them the suport group have lost too many people due to close range

That means that the other teams fire was superior and that your flanking group lacked speed and aggression. The firebase should be hoseing the enemy position with BB's and rotationg fire to allow people to wind and load. Als make sure your cover is good and that you don't keep popping up to shoot in the same postion. Bob and weave to other positions. You will lose people in any engagement either way.

There is no reason whay you cann't play in a bright red jumper, cammo does not make you invisable while running around a field. Anyway most people have no cammo on their face and hands even if they have full ACU/MARPAT/Multicam/Brit etc.

Also, if you are part of a two man team providing support; Try to make your firing and winding unpredictable. Or Limo and Cheeky (our resident sneaky buggers) will have you for breakfast when you pop out of cover.

I played a game once with this new sniper guy, (apparently he had a wealth of experience) who was so dead set on not moving once he got his sniping position, he brought a flask of tea. He was promptly taken out with a bang kill.

Basically by not moving up when theres opertunity to do so would make you a camper i suppose.,

He was well annoyed that he was found so quick and that he had to chuck his cuppa and head for the safe zone

You have just given me a genius idea, to bring my thermos with coffee to HRTA tomorrow coz its going to be bloody freezing!! :D

But seriously, team work when its all gone to **** is really the best tactic. Everyone normally has a differant idea of how its done and in reality as long as you all do one thing together then you stand a better chance of doing well against the other team. One person with all the gear and tactics/experince in the world is still one person.

And if you rely solely on that person, one lucky hit ruins everything

In that sort of situation where the flank team has little to no cover for their approach, they have to wait for the support team to win the firefight before moving. By winning the firefight I mean they need to force the opposition's heads down through superior firepower. Once this is done the flanking team will have a much easier job of getting behind the enemy position and taking them out. If your support team can't do their job, you should have put more firepower in that team, either with more men or more support weapons.

id say, thats more than likely where its going wrong
