Hi everyone, just want to see if anyone knows anything about erasmus and if they could tell me a bit about it??

Im on 3rd yr placement abroad at the moment and as far as i know the whole idea of erasmus is to fund students who want to go abroad for the year.

Is there some number i could call to enquire about getting into this programme?

has anybody done this before?how did they find it/would they recommend it?

Cheers in advance for any feedback.

I was on an intensive program on food safety risk assessment at lille university in france recently which was funded by the erasmus initiative... it was only 2 weeks but led to certification and 6 ECTS credits, which may be useful for something in the future... so it's not only for people who wish to go abroad for a year... shorter programs are also funded. There's got to be somebody at your college who can provide you with information regarding application procedures etc... my was arranged for me by my supervisor before I even knew I was going. Your external services unit might be able to provide you with more information also.
