HI, CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH A PROBLEM THAT I AM HAVING WITH MY PUPPY. I RECENTLY GOT A CROSS BETWEEN A PUG AND A CHAWAWA ( sPELT THAT WRONG) AND SHE JUST WONT STOP BITING AND CHEWING. ALSO SHE NEVER STOPS BARKING.SOMETIMES I THINK THAT SHE IS POSSESSED.

ALSO IS THERE ANY GOOD BOARDING KENNELLS ROUND THE TALLANSTOWN/ ARDEE AREA. I AM GOING TO A WEDDING SOON AND NEED TO FIND SOMEWHERE FOR BOTH MY DOGS FOR 3 NIGHTS.

    ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Is she barking at something i.e. a noise or something outside, the rubbish truck for example, or is she just barking? how old is she? how much excersize does she get? also if she's a puppy she could be teething so that would explain the biting and chewing so provide her with lots of things to chew on. Chihuahua's are supposed to be a bit yappy but she's only half anyway and I suppose there's always a reason for the barking anyway regardless of breed.....

A small dog, at that young an age probably would be best left with a friend or relative, a bording kennel could be a very bad idea

Perhaps if you dont shout like your doing on this forum it might help.

As the other poster said puppy might be teething. Chihuahua's are a bit on the yappy side sometimes but if you socialise/interact the dog should not yap like a be demon.

    Good luck

I would recommend that you get in touch with someone who can help you train the pup and answer all the questions you undoubtadly have. Not too far from you - Maureen Byrne 0868200010

If you can't find a suitable person to mind the pup in their home, there is an excellent kennels in Cavan called Happy Hounds.

thanks to you all for your advice. I spent a bit more time with her and bought her a load of chewy toys. Now she is the perfect dog apart from being a bit spoilt. As to the boarding kennels, i took james shayes advice and have got a house sitter while i am away so my dogs will have someone they know with them all the time. So thanks again.
