Funny seen colour shots from you Barry, nice shots too. Lens looks like a keeper, is this the 18-200VR?

How do we know that's your new zoom and you weren't just standing there? ;)

not sure if its the cheap filter or the poorer lighting conditions , or just the 18 - 200 is just not cut out for street stuff , but feal these lack a bit of crispness, any ideas ? or what do you think?

I've had a look through a number of your images and I don't see their lack of crispness. Maybe it's only due to the size of the images I see.

thanks Paul , i always get a bit freaked when i get a new lens or camera , "not as good as i expected etc etc "

and i wonder about my cheapo uv filter , maybe i should have splashed out on a decent make !!

I always go for Hoya Pro 1 filters. High quality and worth the price.

Sometimes, we are just our own worst critics.

Its hard to compare a zoom to a prime in any test, primes like the 50mm and 30mm will always be head and shoulders above the zooms.. Some great shots with the new lens
