    hi.
i am looking for suggestions for a honeymoon destination, preferably south america / north america, for 3-4 four weeks in june?

i have always wanted to go to machu picchu, but im not sure if its a honey moon destination? ie is there an easy way to see machu picchu? im not sure my new wife would want to be hiking for a few hours on the honeymoon:D (not sure if i would either..!)

we are also looking at santa Barbabra, Hawaii .....would it be too much to cram in peru, santa barbara and hawaii on a 3-4 week honeymoon?

so if any one has any suggestions to the above, or any suggestions at all for honeymoon destinations......it would be appreciated.

I was going to do the San Fransico/Hawaii trip....well worth seeing that you've got the 4 weeks.

You don't have to hike to see MP. The nearest town is Cusco which is about 2 hours away. You get the train from there to the village to Agua Calientes and there is a shuttle bus going from there to MP every 30 mins or so. There is a hotel just at the entrance to MP. Widely overpriced I'm sure but might be worth it given the occasion.

the hotel beside Machu Pichu is very fancy indeed - a honeymoon is probably the only way to justify it!!

I think you are probably trying to do and see too much.
Pick either north or south america and then narrow it down further.
I spent three weeks in peru & bolivia last sept and really there is so much to do and see. you are travelling a long way might aswell get some value out of it!
