    Hey,

Im planning on going to Rome at the end of Feb, a surprise for the missus.

I've been looking at hotels and I have to say its pretty mind boggling, so thought I would ask if anybody has any recommendations.

Ideally I am looking for somewhere central i.e. near Colosseum, Spanish Steps etc and nothing too expensive, maybe Im asking too much!!

    Anyway thanks in advance

Hi was in rome lst yr and we stayed in ponte sisto hotel! its brilliant very central nowhere is far to walk! its literally around d corner form piazza navona where there's tons of nice restuarants but read the prices before you sit dwn the difference between two restuarants next door to each other can b huge!! You can walk to spanish steps, trevi fountain, vatican all within 10/15 mins..nowhere is far to walk to in rome though because there's something to look at with every corner you turn. The hotel is clean and staff are helpful taxi services etc are no hassle and they serve a very nice breakfast in their courtyard!! Hope that helps.
