The UK wants to legalize CD ripping http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080108-uk-wants-to-make-cd-rips-legal-at-last.html I wonder will Ireland do the same thing when/if it becomes legal in the UK. It is weird to think that a Garda could arrest you for putting a song on your MP3 player.

Odd, i always thought you were allowed rip music and stuff, as long as you own the cd..

Can't imagine Garda murphy (or whover) bursting in my door to arrest me though...
