Replacing a Sky+ Multiroom box

    My Sky+ box seems to be knackered and it is two years old, so out of warranty. I understand it would cost a bit to get them to do anything with it, so I am considering just buying one from eBay or similar. Would there be any issues swapping a box like that in a Multiroom setup? Would Sky need to be informed of a change or is the subscription tied solely to the card and it doesn't matter a damn what box it is in?

    The box has to be paired with card.

    Ring them, tell them the box is dead (no power, no lights on, it). Tell them you have changed the power lead and power source. They will tell you they will send out an engineer, costing 100 euro or something like that. Say that it is not fair you have to pay if people with new subs are getting free boxes and say you want to cancel, you will be put through to the cancellation department, acted shocked and outraged, they will send an engineer out with a new box for free.
