not sure if in right forum, trying to install new game on laptop, was setting up first disk fine, straight after inserting second disk, theres a wirling/rubbing noise fron the disk tray, uninstalled everying, started again, same happened again, disk doesn't appear bent or warped, any suggestions

tried again this morning, now the first disk is making similar sounds, have been getting differnet responses on this, some are saying, disked may be unblaced or warped, and may be flutereing whilst spining, and return it before damaging the disk drive,

others are saying it fine, and disk may just be spining faster to read it, resulting in a louder whirl or spin, only need to be worried if getting a clicking shoud, (which i'm not getting), as long as reads with no errors, should be no problem

what do the rest of yous think, have already reported it to the supplier to get authorisation code should i need to return it (bought on line)

    thanks in advance

Try it on another laptop / pc , if it installs ok then it could be an issue with your CD/DVD drive.
If it doesn't install alright then its a game cd issue.

I get a loud whirring noise coming from my dvd drive when ever I use it intensively (installing games, writing a lot of data to a dvd). It's nothing to worry about.
