Is it possible for someone who's done single honours English up until the end of second year to switch to TSM in their Third Year? As in drop one half and take another course.

    Appreciate any replies, thanks

I wouldn't be sure if it's possible or not, but it sounds like it would be pretty hard.

You'd have to take on a whole other course that you probably wouldn't have a clue about and that everyone else would have been doing for 2 years. You'd be walking in with a serious disadvantage from the start.

You mostly hear of TSM students wanting to go Single Honours but you've reversed against the trend, good for you!:p

Yes, it's possible. But it'd be difficult both in subject matter and the method of convincing the department (or whatever it's called by now) that you would be able to keep up. I know people who have transferred from a JF science-y subject to an SF arts-y subject, so it'd be possible to do such a thing. The method to transfer is there.

So, go see your tutor, and/or Bartley in the Students' Union. The latter may, or may not have chocolate on hand.
