Wipeout HD and GT5 Prologue

Anyone know when these will be available ?
Last I heard Wipeout HD was going to be an onlne download only and a collection of all the tracks to date redone in HD, so not a proper sequel yet. No sign of it on the US or UK store though. Also GT5 Prologue launched in Japan in late Dec. Are we getting it soon, and what will be the difference between this and GT5 when it arrives ? Only demos I have seen for download are the GT HD Concept demos..1.6 on the US shop and 2.0 on the UK shop.

It's ok.

It's GT4 upscaled, with a new track, but no cars to race against.

The GT5 Prologue demo is far far better, hopefully it comes out in Europe soon.

Whats involved in creating an account for the us ps store? Is there much more available that you wouldnt get here?

Yes.

Just create a new user, sign it up for the PSN, but then select US as your region. You'll need a dummy US address, but that's no big deal to come up with. You'll also need a different email address to register with than the one you used for your usual account.

So then, when you wanna go to the US store, you just log in as this other user, and start your downloads.. You can flick back to your usual user then, and the downloads will still continue. You can also play demos from the US store in your usual account.

i just spotted the full gt5 has a release date of 25/09/08 on play. why do i have this awful feeling thats even a bit optimistic

Looking at some of times that some people got on the time trial:eek: Im far from sh!t at the game, i'd love too know how some of top 10 lads are able to go around the track so quick. The best rank I have managed Is 140 considering I only got it today.That was done in the stock skyline.

I got the GT5 Prologue game from the jap PS store, and well worth it it was too.
What you have to realise is that any launch date this year for the full GT5 is going to translate into a '09 release for the rest of us. Hopefully it'll be a region free release and we can import it, and learn a bit of japanese whilst we wait.

Just ordered GT5 prologue off ebay. Jap version. Works fine on PAL PS3's. Will need to printout the menu translations. It's essentially a stripped down GT5...about 5 tracks, 20 cars etc.. Physics and graphics are supposed to be the best yet on any car game. I think the European/PAL version is due in March sometime. Full GT5 late this year, early next year I suppose.

The GT HD demo on the US and UK stores has you racing alone. I downloaded both and they look exactly the same. US is version 1.16. UK is version 2.0. There is/was a GT5 Prologue demo on the Jap store, but couldn't be bothered creating an account just yet.

I am rank number 8 in GT HD 2.0.
I was driving the Infiniti G35 coupe '06 when i did it.
I do believe i am the first irish person to be in the top 10:cool:

I only have the game 2 days with about 4 hours gameplay.
Anyone else get in the top 10?

Managed to get top100 in most of the tracks. Haven't done the reverse ones yet. Have ordered the prologue, should be here next week.
