New LittleBigPlanet stuff

    Seems Sony was pushing this one hard at CES, highlighting with some presentations. Here are the vids (two new levels):

    News since the last showing - they've added death as a lot of people were hoping. There are new Terribles materials that can kill, magma is shown in these levels. If you die, you can respawn later at portals. Meanwhile other players get a headstart on the rest of the fluff in the level. The levels shown have some really cool stuff with the magma, sliding platforms and pillars tipped with magma, perhaps more reminscint of classic platformers than earlier stuff shown.

    Also, they confirmed LittleBigStory, 50 levels that will ship with the game.

    Game is now confirmed for September, with a beta perhaps as early as late Spring.

    Considering we were hoping for a demo before Christmas, that release date is pretty disappointing. The release timing for the PS3 in general just sucks terribly.
