    Hi folks,

I have a mbp with wireless "N". I have eircom broadband and a netopia router. I want to get an airport extreme base station so I can use wireless n. I know I have to put the netopia into bridge mode and have googled this but I can't find an "idiots guide for bridge mode". Can anyone help?

During my research I found a referemce to draytek adsl modems. Has anyone got one of these and is it hard to set them up with eircom broadband. The eircom website only offers tech support for the netopia brand.

    Thanks,

    Seamus.

I have set up an airport extreme with the eircom router in bridge mode. It works perfectly and the mbp flies along on wireless "n". The router is upstairs and I have a pc and macpro connected by ethernet.

I have an xbox downstairs and I am thinking about getting a mac mini to use as a server for movies and tv shows.

If I get a second airport extreme to hook up the xbox and mini by ethernet do I connect it to the airport extreme upstairs to extend the network or can I connect it to the netopia router which is running in bridge mode?

I'm nearly certain that I have to connect the two airport extremes together but this is "the idiots guide" so please be patient with me.

I know I could run the lot by wireless but I will be moving a lot of movies that I have ripped from the macpro to the mini and it would be a lot faster by ethernet.

    Thanks,

    Shay.
