Just wondering, I am about to book a flight to Johannesburg with Air France.

Anyone had any problems with them? What are they like to fly with? What are the onboard facillities like, seats? TV's? Etc...

Never used them, but the only things I have heard about them were bad, i.e. rude, bad service and if you have a problem with them their attitude is basically Fcuk you!

They put me and my wife at opposite ends of the plane on the way back from hour honeymoon despite reserving seats.

They recently had to come onto a plane in london and recheck everyones boarding apss and passport because they screwed up paper work

The first time I used then was my honeymoon - the last time I will ever use them was london

It varies. Crews can be a bit hit/miss on the long-haul legs but the food is generally good, the entertainment ok (if you have a newer plane). As said though, if anything goes wrong you can end up recieving a very Gallic shrug

the food is usually decent though as stated and most the air stewardesses are pretty cute (but yes, pretty grumpy)- so cute that a friend of mine ended up marrying one (she's now even grumpier than ever!!!:D)

Flew with them to South America in November, economy class. Had a 14-hour flight to Santiago and found them to be grand. Good food, individual TV, good legroom and no problems with the crew at all.

Select your seats online and avoid problems.

Would certainly fly with them again.

Join up with the frequent flyer programme before you go!

food etc was grand, attitude of staff wasn't.

will never fly with them again after the treatment I got from their customer services manager in CDG. Also when I wrote a letter of complaint their reply was laughable to say the least. AVOID!

Did the same route last November, absolutely faultless.

Fly with them to Ireland a few times each year and to the States from time to time.

Never had a problem with them though often travel in business class.

Always ranked in the top 20 airlines in the world.
