Sight question

Just got a new bow and put all the stuff on it now my 18mtr sight mark is where my 90mtr used to be any ideas on why???Its a bowtech guardian using a toxonics sight and goldtip exp arrows.And a trophy taker arrow rest

Check the knocking point, if it's too high it will point your arrows downwards and you'll need your sight to aim higher like you would have to at longer distances.

The position of the sight on the new bow might be in a different place to your old bow, but wouldn't make as big a difference as you are getting.

I don't shoot compound but I have seen something similar on a bow that got a new cable. I think the cable was slightly longer than the old one. Check the bracing height and also the poundage. Poundage might be lower.

What was the old bow? Short limb or long limb? Was there a difference in the Axle to Axle distances between the bows?

I've gone between compounds a few times and the rule I now follow is to treat each bow (in terms of sights) as a completly new monster. I don't base new sight marks on the previous bow at all. Even when I switched between an UltraElite and ProElite with all the same specs the sights changed quite a lot.

the new bow is at 60lbs old one 52lbs.checkd the nock point was ok changed it made tiny difference.the bracing height is same as what it says in the booklet.the problem im having is that where the sight marking is it leaves bout 2cm to go from 28mtr to 90 which isnt enough.yeah there is a huge A2A difference old one was 39 new is 34.3/4.Also i was overdrawing on the old bow and have got a shorter draw now.

Spud i will have a look at your bow and get it sorted for ya, if you could pop down to ardee on sat, if you were at jims on sat i could really get stuck into it.
and we can paper tune to see whats going on.
mind you with the scores your putting in at the moment im probably cutting me own throat...
