Dublin Bus route 102/230 services

I was hearing that these two routes were to be combined in the very near future. Anyone know if this is still the case? Will it be basically a 102 route that continues on to the Airport via the 230's route? I'd imagine there will be a lot more buses linking Swords with it's Eastern neighbours as a result?

This has been suggested since the 230 started, about 10 years ago. I haven't heard anything recent.
