    hi lads,
    i'm thinking of upgrading from 22lr to either 22 hornet or 222, any suggestions,

    .22 hornett are nearly dead in the water now havn't seen one for a while now.
    .222 isn't overly popular either but the ammo is probably easier to come by.
    Either way you should be able to pick up something in either calibre at the right money .Im sure there are loads of hornets knocking around the country looking for good homes.

    dont even consider a hornet over a 222-if the reloading gets up and running the 222 is a dream ..........icon7.gif

    .222 ammo is hard to come by id suggest you get a .223 the UMC bullets are only 14quid a box, you cant go wrong with that

    Dont choose either 22 hornet or 222!!
    223 is the only way to go!!
    cheap ammo, lots of it, more power and easy resale!
    no contest!! eh

    223 may be ok now but .......... with restrictions and restricted lists will it be ok in the long run ?

    I agree, watched a programme on San Quentin Prison this evening and the warden on the "gun rail" was using a .223 to control prisoners! Hope the supers weren't watching!!
